Multi-physical and multi-scale damage model of re-manufacturing objects

This project is the sub-project of the 973 program ‘Basic scientific issues in re-manufacture for mechanical equipments’. Multi-physical and multi-scale computational methods can be further developed for the re-manufacturing objects with multi-physical working conditions. In the macro scale, computational contact algorithms can be studied for quantitative description and prediction on the contact status. Reliable computational methods can be developed for the multi-physical coupled problems in complex working conditions. MD method can be used to study the effects of the micro defects on the mechanical properties and on the structural safety in atomic scale. Computational correlation methods between the two scale models can be established and developed for the re-manufacturing objects in complex working conditions with the combination of the mentioned different scale models.
