A symplectic method for the dynamic buckling of cylindrical shells

2015年04月06日 16:47  点击:[]

The fundamental problem of dynamic buckling of cylindrical shells can be described mathematically by Hamiltonian dual equations. In the problem, considering the propagation and reflection of stress waves are considered. The problem is reduced to eigenvalues and eigensolutions, which indicate critical buckling loads and buckling modes. The solutions can be obtained analytically and numerically and results reveal the non-axisymmetric buckling.
